Memorial and Commemorative Gifts

Making a gift to Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special occasion is a great way to celebrate a life or special event.  Memorial and Commemorative Gifts can be made using our Mail-In Donation Form or by calling Community Shares at 513.475.0475.

Workplace Giving

Workplace giving is a simple process that allows employees to make donations to Community Shares member organizations through payroll contributions. Workplace giving is easy, efficient and enables a workplace and its employees to work together to benefit the community. To find out if your employer provides a Community Shares as a workplace giving option or to learn about starting a workplace giving campaign at your organization please visit the workplace giving section of our website.

Friends of Community Shares

Community Shares is proud to announce the Friends of Community Shares Fund with the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. This Fund was established in 2008 by a $20,000 cornerstone legacy gift to Community Shares.

If you would like to make a gift to the Friends of Community Shares Fund:

  1. Go to the Greater Cincinnati Foundation's online credit card donation page.
  2. Using the drop down menu select 'Friends of Community Shares.'
  3. Follow the prompts to make a secure donation using a credit card.
  4. Gifts will be acknowledged immediately via email from the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

Comprehensive Legacy Giving, tailored to the financial and community goals of our discriminating donors, will ensure the sustainability of our vital work. Your planned gift to Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati helps to ensure the future of our services and may further your financial goals as well. We invite you and your financial planning advisor to learn more about our many planned giving opportunities. These gifts ensure a better future for our community and the individuals served by our member organizations.
If you have made arrangements for a planned gift, please contact Community Shares' executive director, Jeniece Jones at 513.475.0475 or info@cintishares.org. We encourage you to notify us of your planned gift. We want to thank you for your gift, understand your full intentions and demonstrate good stewardship of your gift. We respect the privacy of donors who wish to remain anonymous. Financial advisors may also inform us of gifts without disclosing donor names.

Suggested wording to remember Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati in your will or estate plan:

"I give to Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati the sum of ____________ dollars ($____________). This bequest is unrestricted and the Board of Trustees or other governing body may use and expend the same for the benefit of Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati in any manner it deems appropriate."
